John J. Quirk

John Quirk leads the firm’s efforts in the environmental and maritime transportation and logistics sectors. He was previously a member of the Cronus Board of Advisors and a Director of Corporate Development for Donjon Marine Co., Inc., a family-owned marine service company involved in marine transportation, dredging, salvage, wreck removal, heavy lift services and shipbuilding and repair. He is a seasoned financial executive having worked almost twenty years in various financial positions at two major international corporations, City Investing Company and W.R. Grace & Co. At City Investing, he held the position of Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Fiscal Officer. Mr. Quirk also has over twenty years’ experience in the environmental industry, including both investment banking and private equity. Prior to joining one of his former investment banking clients, Donjon Marine, in 2009, he spent eight years as a Managing Director of Morgan Joseph, an investment bank targeting middle market companies. At Morgan Joseph, Mr. Quirk headed the firm’s environmental practice which focused principally on companies in solid waste, hazardous waste, waste transportation, recycling, alternative energy, air and water. He was also a co-founder of an investment bank that specialized in the environmental sector, a co-general partner of the Environmental Opportunities Fund, and a Principal of Churchill Capital’s $125 million Environmental Equity Fund.
